Sustainable Forestry Initiative

Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), is the process of managing forests to achieve one or more clearly specified objectives with reference to the production of products and services to keep the continuous flow of the desired forest. When someone is SFI certified they have had “educational training that promotes sustainable forest management, operational safety, skill improvement and profitability to meet the needs of the timber industry in Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania forest landowners. ”
